Pastor's Study

Cops for ChristWe are just TWO WEEKS away from our Spring Revival!

We have prayed and planned and prepared….and prayed some more.  It is our desire to see God move among us and change us from who we are to who He wants us to be.

We extend an invitation to anyone and everyone to join with us as we remember fallen heroes and worship our risen Savior.

We kick off our revival with a Community Night on April 9th beginning at 5PM.  The Christian Group “5:17” will be in concert as we enjoy a hot dog dinner.

Sunday Morning (April 10) at 10:00am we begin with Bible Study…We have set a goal for 80 in attendance!

“9-1-1” Patriotic Service will be at 11:00am with a color guard from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.  The morning message will be brought by Rev. Randy Church.  Following the service, we will have dinner “on the grounds.”

Sunday night at 6:00PM and Monday – Wednesday at 7:00PM our services will be lead by a different member of our law enforcement community.  Special Music will be provided each night!

We stand excited about what God will do in our lives – and yours!  So, join us for the first “Cops 4 Christ Crusade” here in Burke County.

About Pastor

My Family: My wife and I have been married for 30 years (wow! that's hard to believe.) We have four wonderful children and EIGHT perfect grandchildren!! Education: I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Theology from Tennessee Temple University. After serving Bethel Baptist Church in Ontario, Canada as Youth Pastor and South Buncombe Baptist in Asheville, NC as Associate Pastor, we moved to Wake Forest, NC where I attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1995, I received my Master of Divinity degree (with languages.) From 1999-2001, I attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing my Doctor of Ministry degree in Expository Preaching. Ministry: I have had the privilege of pastoring three wonderful congregations (Montwood Baptist 1993-1997; Union Baptist 1997-2002; and, South Fork Baptist 2010-present.) In 2010, God brought a very special group of people into my life. South Fork has become much more than a ministry to my family - it has become our home. If you are looking for a Church to call home, you will not find a better group of people than the family that makes up South Fork.

One Response to “Revival!”

  1. Lance Wilson Says:

    Pastor Scott and congregation,

I drop this simple line to tell you how excited we are about the upcoming Crusade at South Fork Baptist Church. We thank GOD for the opportunity to come and we thank you Pastor and the congregation as well for allowing COPS 4 CHRIST Ministries to be a part of something very special as we gather to worship our Savior, Jesus Christ. We look foward to what HE has in store for all of us in the coming days. I have also enjoyed looking at the website. Keep on pressing on for the GLORY of GOD, South Fork BC. See you in less than two weeks. Continue praying for REVIVAL……
